He has the attitude of a cowboy, who thinks he is in Vietnam. When Special Agent Johnson arrives with Agent Johnson in the Nakatomi Plaza, they tell LAPD Deputy Chief Dwayne T. Robinson they are now in charge.They cut electricity to attract the terrorists to the roof and kill them there without considering it might be a trap because of his tendency to act by the book and then go hunting not considering the hostages as he should.
He was the victim of his own carelessness and incompetence in his attempt to deal with Hans and was killed together with the others by the detonation of the explosions set up by Hans Gruber.
