Ryan Chappelle on Season 1
Ryan Chappelle is a recurring supporting character on Seasons 1, 2 and 3 of the television series "24" as well as the videogame installment. He is played by Paul Schulze in all appearances.
Backstory[]
Ryan was the bureaucratic Los Angeles Regional Division Director of the government agency CTU and above George Mason, Alberta Green, Jack Bauer and Tony Almeida in the chain of command. Ryan is known for being rather well-meaning but very difficult to convince on various matters, thus, coming off as rather unlikeable.
He is forced to be killed by Jack Bauer when terrorist Stephen Saunders handpicks various targets to be murdered. Ryan's death is given the okay by President David Palmer so to avoid Saunder's threat of unleashing the virus on another part of Los Angeles.
