Matt Damon (born October 8, 1970) is an American actor, producer and writer best known for films such as Good Will Hunting, Saving Private Ryan, The Talented Mr. Ripley, The Departed, The Martian, various films by filmmakers such as Kevin Smith, Clint Eastwood and Steven Soderbergh and for the ongoing Bourne Identity spy film series where he portrayed the title character Jason Bourne. He is among Forbes magazine's most bankable stars and one of the Top 40 highest-grossing actors of all time. He is also known for his various humanitarian efforts in addition to various voice-over work and forming numerous production companies.
