Jodie Foster (born November 19, 1962) is an American actress, producer and director, best known for her roles in Taxi Driver, The Accused, The Silence of the Lambs, Nell (with Liam Neeson) and Contact. Recent roles include: Panic Room, The Secret Lives of Altar Boys, Flightplan, Inside Man (with Willem Dafoe), The Brave One, Nim's Island (with Gerard Butler) and Elysium (with Aldis Hodge and Faran Tahir), which was her final film to date prior to retiring from acting.
