His credits include: ''Big Trouble in Little China'', ''Best of the Best'', ''American Ninja 5'', ''Hot Shots! Part Deux'', ''Timecop'', ''[[Escape from L.A.]]'', ''[[Lethal Weapon 4]]'' (with [[Jet Li]]), ''Paris'', ''18 Fingers of Death!'', ''[[Angel of Death]]'' and [[Christopher Nolan]]'s ''[[Inception]].''

Lew appeared in two ''[[Die Hard]]'' knock-offs: the first was the SciFi Channel Original Movie telefilm ''[[Assault on Dome 4]]'', where he played [[Bruce Campbell]]'s lead henchman; the second film he provided stunt work as a disguised North Korean soldier in the 2013 blockbuster ''[[Olympus Has Fallen]]''. James was also the stunt coordinator on the 2012 film ''[[Hijacked]]''.
