Ramon Salazar 24 season 3

Ramon Salazar

Ramon Salazar is one of the supporting villains in the first portion of "24"'s third season. He is portrayed by veteran villain actor Joaquim de Almeida.

Day 3 Character Summary[]

Ramon is the older brother of Hector Salazar and was once the leader of a large drug smuggling business in Mexico.

The season begins with Ramon in prison, six months after Jack Bauer's undercover work within the Salazar family landed him behind bars. With his younger brother Hector's help and Jack once again making Ramon think he's on his side (much to Ramon's reluctance), he is able to escape. Then, a virus codenamed Cordilla is rumored to be landing into terrorists hands, and Jack, still undercover, convinces the brothers to buy it off of black market dealer Michael Amador. At the "auction", they are suddenly outbid by Nina Myers and a riot breaks out.

Hector is shot by his brother Ramon after he attempts to shut down the operation once getting cold feet, and Ramon flees when Chase Edmunds shows up with some inbound Delta Force Commandos. Ramon is later killed by the virus (which is in actuality an explosive with a duplicated appearance to the virus courier) he had taken away from Nina. It is revealed that Michael Amador sold the real virus to main season villain Stephen Saunders.
