Brad Dourif (/ˈdɔrɨf/; born March 18, 1950) is an American actor, voice artist, and comedian who gained early fame for his portrayal of Billy Bibbit in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, which brought him Golden Globe and BAFTA Awards, as well as an Academy Award nomination. He is also known for portraying Chucky in the Child's Play franchise and had supporting roles in Ragtime (with Samuel L. Jackson), Mississippi Burning (with Willem Dafoe and Michael Rooker), Dune (with Patrick Stewart), Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and for his role as Doc Cochran in the HBO television western "Deadwood" (with Timothy Omundson, Powers Boothe, Timothy Olyphant, Titus Welliver and Pasha D. Lychnikoff), for which he earned an Emmy Award nomination.
