Extreme Limits (also known as Crash Point Zero) is a 2000 action film about the recovery of Nikola Tesla's death ray. The film is directed by Jim Wynorski, written by Steve Latshaw and produced by T. J. Terrier. Shot on an extremely low budget, incorporating a large amount of stock footage from other films, and being released direct-to-video, Extreme Limits falls into the category of modern B movie.
After Tesla's ray is discovered in Siberia by Dr. Maurice Hunter (John Beck), thug for hire Julian Beck (Hannes Jaenicke) attempts to steal it as it's being flown back to the USA. After the plane crash-lands in Canada, CIA agent Jason Ross (Treat Williams) is tasked with the recovery of the device before it falls into enemy hands. While the movie is predominantly an action film, it does incorporate some elements of science fiction due to the circumstances surrounding the death ray.
