Captain Carmine Lorenzo is a character who appears in Die Hard 2 and who is played by Dennis Franz.
Carmine Lorenzo is the stubborn and partially incompetent Chief of Police of Dulles International Airport. On Christmas Eve, 1990 he was therefore manipulated by Colonel Stuart every time he wanted to make a move and he constantly argued with John McClane, the real expert, and gave him problems when McClane tried to intervene and help them fight terrorists. Still he finally began to listen to McLane and grew up to like him to the extent of even throwing away a park ticket punishment ntended for him as gratitude for everything he did.
